Maranges Rouge Le Goty Vieilles Vignes 2023 Dom. Bachey Legros

The vines, planted in 1945, delve deep and create a concentrated wine with an incredible inky black colour. Maranges is slightly off the beaten track but a really interesting source of fleshy, rich red Burgundy that look better and better value as prices rise for better known villages. Bachey-Legros makes one of the very best examples in the Maranges appellation from the single 'Le Goty' vineyard .

"Slightly purple. Savoury and plump. Quite spicy on the nose. Some notes of stems. Fairly grippy tannin. Savoury and expressive. Redcurrant acidity on the palate."
