Chateau Clauzet 2017 Saint Estephe

Baron Velge has just sold this estate, after twenty years of ownership, to Jacky Lorenzetti of Lilian Ladouys (he has kept Château de Côme). His final vintage here delivers a straightforward and enjoyable wine that has sweet, dark fruit and plenty of attractive aromatics upfront. It's just fading a little through the mid-palate. 2% Cabernet Franc completes the blend given.
