Ch Malescot St Exupery 2018 Margaux Grand Cru Clas

The name of this property is taken from two former owners: Malescot and Saint Exupéry, the grandfather of the famous aviator-writer. Château Malescot Saint Exupéry adjoins part of Château Margaux's vineyard. The soil in the vineyard consists of Pyrenean gravel. After a period of producing relatively disappointing wines between 1960 and 1980, the current owners focused their efforts on improving quality.

Deep ruby coloured with a nose showing black cherry, blackcurrant and oak. The palate is quite forward, medium to full bodied and packed with fragrant dark berry fruit. The finish shows the tannic structure of the vintage, but in this case is moderately supple.
