This red Bordeaux wine comes from one of the top producers in the village of Listrac-Médoc, which sits a few kilometres from Margaux and produces wines with a similar silky, elegant character.
2014 was a very good vintage in the Médoc generally, and is a great source for finding wines to drink now at affordable prices.
Dark ruby, with little toastiness on the nose from the oak, but there is attractive red plummy fruit here with a touch of sous bois. Medium bodied, fine tannins and ready to drink. Classic claret.
