Wine Advocate 90-92 "A blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, the 2019 La Patache weighed in at 13.9% alcohol this year with a pH of 3.78. Yields were 39 hectoliters per hectare. The wine is being aged in French oak barrels, 30% new. Deep garnet-purple in color, the nose is redolent of stewed plums, baked blackberries and Black Forest cake with hints of bouquet garni, chargrilled meats and woodsmoke plus a waft of tobacco. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is packed with juicy black fruits, framed by ripe rounded tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing with a peppery kick. Around 1,000 cases will be made."
